Kalika Bhavani temple

This temple, facing east is datable to the 12th century CE, On plan it consists of a rectangular garbhagriha, a large pillared hall (navaranga) and a rectangular open mukhamandapa. The garbhagriha houses a seated image of goddess Durga. The doorframe is divided into five shakhas and the lintel is adorned with Gajalakshmi. The navaranga has four pillars in the centre and twelve pilasters. The pillars have the square base and cubical shaft with pointed round kapota and bevelled capital. The door frame of the navaranga is decorated with five bands and the lintel has Gajalakshmi. On either side of the doorframe, at the bottom, is a standing Bhairavaflanked by two female attendants. The open mukhamandapa has four pillars in two rows and two pilasters in the side walls. The decoration of the pillars is similar to these of the navaranga. There is no shikhara over the temple.
