Dharwad Circle, Archaeological Survey of India celebrated the “World Heritage Day” in the premises of Group of Monuments at Pattadakal 18th April 2018. During this occasion cultural awareness programme and competitions like essay and debates are conducted for school and college students of well as for local communities.

The international museums day has been organized on 18th May 2018 in the premises of Archaeological Museums of Bijapur (Vijayapura), Badami and Aihole. As a part of celebration, cultural awareness programme and competitions like drawing, essay and debates are conducted for school and college students.

The 4th International Day of Yoga Celebration conducted on 21.06.2018 in the premises of Dharwad Circle Office, Dharwad at 7.00 AM. It is also marked by Sub-Circles of Dharwad Circle (namely Haveri, Bidar, Kalaburagi, Aihole, Badami and Gadag) and Archaeological Museums at Bijapur, Badami and Aihole. On this occasion school & College students and public were also participated.

धारवाड़ मंडल के अधीक्षक पुरातत्वविद द्वारा इस वर्ष 1 सितंबर से 14 सितंबर 2018 तक हिंदी पखवाड़ा मनाने का निर्णय लिया गया | इस पखवाड़ा के दौरान विभिन्न प्रकार के प्रतियोगिताएं, गोष्ठी, आदि आयोजित की गई तथा विजेताओं को पुरस्कृत किया गया।

Swachhata Pakhwara is a part of Swachh Bharat Mission led by the government of India to make India a clean India. Dharwad Circle of Archaeological Survey of India celebrated the “Swachhata Pakhawada” in the premises of Group of Monuments at Pattadakal, Durga Temple Complex at Aihole, Gol Gumbaz at Vijayapura and Bidar Fort at Bidar from 16th to 30th April 2018 and from 16th to 30th September 2018. On this occasion of “Swachhata Pakhawada”, Heritage Walk, Photo Exhibition, Essay and Debates competitions and public awareness programme for school and college students, were organised apart from cleaning campaign.

In pursuance of direction issued by the Central Vigilance Commission vide circular No.018/VGL-033-395730, dated 24.09.2018, Vigilance Awareness Week observed by this Circle on theme of “Eradicate Corruption-Build a New India” from 29th October to 3rd November 2018. The Vigilance Awareness Week was observed in all Sub-Circles under the jurisdiction of Dharwad Circle as per the guidelines received. In this occasion Special lecture for employees, Essay Writing, Debate Competition, for school and college students conducted in premises of Dharwad Circle office, Gol Gumbaz complex (Vijayapura), Group of Monuments at Pattadakal (World Heritage Site), Durga temple complex at Aihole, Bidar Fort at Bidar and Archaeological Museums.

Dharwad Circle of Archaeological Survey of India observed Rashtriay Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day) the Birth Anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on 31st October 2018. A function was held at 11 a.m. in the conference hall Dharwad Circle Office, Dharwad.

Dharwad Circle of Archaeological Survey of India has celebrated the “World Heritage Week” in the premises of Groups of Monuments at Pattadakal (World Heritage Site) from 19th to 25th November 2018. A number of events were conducted as a part of celebrations involving large number of School children and college students as well as villagers. A week long celebrations were aimed to create awareness among the public about preserving the rich heritage for posterity, and spreading the message of cultural awareness among the public and students. In this occasions, a photo Exhibition organized on the theme of Architectural Heritage of North Karnataka, one special stall for sale of ASI publications opened for visitors & public.

On the occasion of 84th Akhila Bharatiya Kannada Sahitya Sammelana, at Agricultural University at Dharwad, Archaeological Survey of India Dharwad Circle opened a Stall ASI Publication from 4th to 6th January 2019, for students, research scholars and public.
