This 7th century CE temple is locally called Chakra Gudi. The original early Chalukyan portion of the temple consists of a sanctum and a closed hall. The sanctum supports a curvilinear (Nagara) superstructure complete with crowing amalasara and kalasha. An inscription of c. 640 CE found on a displaced beam of this temple records grant by prince Vikramaditya, son of Pulakeshi II. The large, pillared hall in front was added during the Rashtrakuta period and has been renovated during the KalyanaChalukya period. Dedication is not known, but it likely contained an image of a goddess.
